Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Dried hibiscus petals You can find these at health stores or online
  • 2 cups Water Fresh and filtered preferred
  • 1 tsp Honey or sweetener Optional to balance tartness
  • 1 slice Lime or lemon Optional adds a citrus note

Equipment

  • 1 Saucepan For boiling water
  • 1 Strainer To filter petals
  • 1 Teacup For serving
  • 1 Teaspoon For sweeteners

Method
 

  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a small saucepan.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of dried hibiscus petals.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5–7 minutes.
  4. Turn off heat and let steep for 1 minute.
  5. Strain the liquid into a mug or pitcher.
  6. Add honey and a slice of lime if desired.
  7. Serve hot or refrigerate to enjoy iced.
