Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup | water | filtered
  • 1 tsp | fresh ginger | grated or ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp | ground turmeric | or 1 tsp fresh turmeric
  • ½ stick | cinnamon | or ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp | lemon juice | optional
  • 1 tsp | honey | optional added after steeping

  • 1 | Fine mesh strainer | To filter tea

Method
 

  1. Add water to a small saucepan and bring to a light boil.
  2. Stir in ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon.
  3. Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let steep for 5 minutes.
  5. Strain tea into a mug using a fine mesh strainer.
  6. Stir in lemon juice and honey if using.
  7. Serve hot or let cool and enjoy over ice.
