  • ¾ cup – brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup – granulated sugar
  • 2 – large eggs
  • 2 tsp – vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups – all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp – baking soda
  • ½ tsp – salt
  • 2 cups – semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  2. Beat in eggs and vanilla until fully combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips or chunks until evenly distributed.
  5. Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Chill dough balls for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are just set.
  9. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Enjoy warm or store in an airtight container.
