- In a large mixing bowl, cream softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips or chunks until evenly distributed.
- Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Chill dough balls for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are just set.
- Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Enjoy warm or store in an airtight container.
