Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Hot water Freshly boiled
  • 1 tsp Dried butterfly pea flowers Or 5–6 whole petals
  • 1 tsp Honey Optional for sweetness
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice Optional turns tea purple
  • 3 –4 Mint leaves Optional for cooling effect

  • 1 Teapot or kettle To boil water
  • 1 Tea strainer For removing petals
  • 1 Teacup or glass For serving

Method
 

  1. Boil 1 cup of water and pour it into a cup or teapot.
  2. Add the dried butterfly pea flowers.
  3. Steep for 5–7 minutes until the water turns deep blue.
  4. Strain out the petals using a tea strainer.
  5. Stir in honey to sweeten, if desired.
  6. Add lemon juice to watch it change color from blue to purple.
  7. Garnish with mint leaves and serve hot or over ice.
