- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with both sugars until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract; mix until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet until a dough forms.
- Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes for better structure and flavor.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop dough into 1.5-tablespoon portions and place 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers look slightly soft.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
For even better flavor, chill the dough overnight before baking. You can also freeze the dough balls and bake from frozen, just add 2 extra minutes to the baking time.
