  • 1 cup 226g unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup 150g brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup 100g granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups 270g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups 340g semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with both sugars until smooth.
  2. Add the eggs and vanilla extract; mix until fully combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet until a dough forms.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
  6. Chill the dough for 30 minutes for better structure and flavor.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop dough into 1.5-tablespoon portions and place 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers look slightly soft.
  10. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
